Default Dear National Hockey League Players' Association

"At the end of the day, we're fighting for our futures, not yours." -Phoenix Coyotes' forward Paul Bissonette

Good to know Biz, thanks. You might also want to factor in the same people's futures you demote, are the same ones who make it possible for a backup scrub such as yourself making close to the league minimum, to still make approximately $560,000 more than the average American employee. You play a ****ing game, Paul. And you don't even do it well, or often.

I guess all the times the teams and players did their rounds to the children's hospitals, and they left saying things like "it really puts things in perspective", or "it makes you very grateful" was just a load of ****.

To see kids who have never even gotten a chance in this life, completely light up when they're favorite player walks into the room, is something almost unreal. That may be all they ever have.

Maybe the players should revisit those hospitals. See how many of the kids from the last year or two are even still there. Maybe they should explain to the children who admire them, well or sick, of how a rollback on their million dollar contract has prevented them from playing Hockey. I'm sure they'll understand.

Maybe the game will come back. Maybe it won't. Maybe the players will stop trying to suck the system dry even though they're blessed with an occupation and paycheck anyone would live with. Maybe they won't. How ironic that the leaders and team players get cherished for their guts on the ice, but care only about their own immediate well being when it boils down to it.

"For the love of the game" must've expired with the CBA during one of the past 3 lockouts. Enjoy your cushy vacation to Europe. Poor things.

A bridge of death is preferable to locks or an armed guard IMHO.

There are certain things you have to know when you're a king.

I understood the owners wanted to negotiate last year.... but that was a no go from the NHLPA.

I heard the NHL wanted to negotiate during the 2011 playoffs. If that was the case not every team would have had a player rep at the negotiations.

This is what unions do. Just the nature of the beast.
