    It's not all bad.

The players get more time to recover from the Stanley Cup playoffs.

This lockout was inevitable as soon as the Union hired Don Fehr. Dude never lost a negotiation with MLB, and he doesn't intend to lose this one. However, the NHL isn't MLB. The owners were perfectly content to lose a whole season, unlike MLB, who was devastated by the loss of the 1994 World Series. And that's bad news for the Union.

So, Don Fehr needs to realize that the Union is going to have to make serious concessions. Because if they don't...see ya in the fall of 2013!

If there's one positive to come out of this lockout, it's that I won't be spending money on tickets that I can't afford. Plus I'll be able to work overtime & not have to worry about getting home to watch the games. I thought of going to Reign games but probably not. If the owners don't want to put their NHL teams on the ice, then I'm not paying them to see their ECHL teams.

It sucks that neither side wants to come up with a solution that works for both sides & solves the league's problems. The league claims that teams are losing money, that it's only a few teams that are making the league any profit & the rest are losing money. And yet, how many ridiculous signings have there been this summer? For them to cry poverty is a joke. If there are teams out there who do everything right, if they spend their money wisely, if they put a winning product on the ice, if they sell out every night, & work to market the team, but still don't make money then yes, something is wrong. But how many of these teams are out there? I'll bet none. If you don't do any of those things then you don't deserve to make money.

Finally I'd just like to say that if I ever saw Gary Bettman, I'd kick him in the balls & then fart in his face.

It would have been nice to be offered cream cheese and bagels, if we chose some sort of locks.

Forbes (and also, I believe, the Kings themselves) claim that the Kings lost money last year.

The only thing left to happen is for one of the Player Reps, to go on camera or print, and tell me to kiss his ass if I don't like the hard ball that is being played.

The owners give out all these rich contracts then cry poverty and say they need a new system from the one that they wanted when it was put in. Give me a break. All during the season all we heard was what a successful year it was for the NHL,revenue was way up,sponsorship up,etc. now the system doesn't work. Either they were bull****ting before or they're bull****ting now.

The other positive is that we get to wear our Kings Stanley Cup Champs gear for another year.

I'm gonna go with they were bull****ting then AND they're bull****ting now. That's what the owners do 100% of the time. The only good thing I can see coming out of this is maybe it'll spell the end of Bettman. I swear it's like he wants the league to die.
