Yes and no, no sane business person wants to lose money, if they can see a gain in value while at the same time actually making a profit from the day to day operation that is far better than looking at a team as a loss leader. Then of course you have owners like Mark Cuban and Dan Snyder who really don't seem to care about making money and are doing it just for the love of the team, but those owners are rare.

yup and cancelled the channel tier that has NBC sports.

They'll end up giving you Center Ice for free if the season starts late.

People were able to get it free in the past when Directv was having disputes with NBCSN, then VS.

ESPN3 is going to show KHL games. Does anyone actually get that channel in the cable/satellite lineup, or is it only online?
