If you are going to call, just be aware that the 416 NHLPA number is in Canada.
From my season seat email.
Today, the National Hockey League announced the cancellation of the 2012-13 regular-season schedule through October 24. The cancellation was necessary because of the absence of a Collective Bargaining Agreement between the NHL Players' Association and the NHL.
This affects the following LA Kings home schedule of games:
- October 12 vs NY Rangers
- October 18 vs Carolina
- October 21 vs Edmonton
- October 23 vs Nashville
While we are all hoping for a speedy resolution to the work stoppage, we wanted to update our ticket package holders with some important information regarding the cancellation of these games.
As a reminder, we have halted all automatic payment plan payments until the work stoppage ends, and we thank you for selecting your loyalty reward option.
Again, we appreciate your patience as the NHL and the NHLPA work towards a new agreement, and we are all excited for the moment when we all can watch the Kings raise the Stanley Cup Championship Banner to the roof of STAPLES Center.
Should you have any questions, please call our office at 1.888.KINGS.LA (1.888.546.4752).
Sincerely,
Josh Bender

I just laid down a grand on them bringing in replacement players.
Hey Bettman, here's your chance to gain my respect. Bring on the scabs.
We get to watch Hockey, the Pros get to stay on vacation, and I get rich... everybody wins.
Dew it Gary! I'll give yer greedy little ass a kickback.

From TSN
The primary reason behind the standoff is that the NHL wants to see salaries reduced immediately while the union believes all existing contracts should be honoured. As a result, the NHLPA is unwilling to consider an immediate rollback or any system that would see players pay more money in escrow.
"The owners have signed all these individual contracts and now they want to change the rules so the players don't get what they're supposed to be paid under the contracts," Fehr told The Canadian Press this week. "How do you deal with that? Does a player get to say `Well, OK, my salary loss was more than I thought it would be, I can leave?'
"Does he have to go to work if they're not going to pay him what they say they were? This is pretty basic stuff here."
