Unless you can get a pledge from both sides that there wouldn't be a strike from the players or a re-issuance of the lockout from the owners, I don't think you'd see the season start without everything hammered out.Quote:

If the NHLPA rejects the NHL's offer, the NHLPA WILL have lost the PR battle. I know I have said I am on the players' side, but I have also said it will be them who must bite the bullet on this one. The NHL's most recent offer will hands down be the best one the NHLPA sees.

Talked briefly again with #Blackhawks dman Steve Montador after NHLPA call, he said the NHL's new offer changes what makes up HRR again.
