Keenan also had a tendency to ride his top guys hard like a rented mule so Jokinen was force fed a ton of minutes in every situation.
These. Jokinen didn't spend enough time here to develop much but based on what I've seen of him it was far better for him to get traded...then eventually to Florida under Keenan.

Clearly, DL didn't mean anyone specific but if it is any indication the fact he did NOT draft Jokinen in 1997 for SJ (taking Marleau instead) tells you all you need to know.

Nobody said that DL traded Palffy. Not-Mike said that DL derided the trade. DL traded Pavol Demitra. Why would DL deride his own trade at or around the time he made it?

Ryan is correct. Jokinen needed Keenan to shove his foot up his ass. It had nothing to do with the Kings failing to surround him with talent.

I don't remember much about Ollie's time here, except thinking "we drafted this guy with our high first round pick??"

How many teams has Jokinen been on now? 50? :P
Only by living absurdly is it possible to break out of this infinite absurdity.

He has played on 27% of the teams in the NHL (8 of 30). Needs to join 4 more teams to tie Mike Sillinger.

But if you look at his points and how many teams he have played with, gotta admit he has done pretty good considering he have played for a lot of bad teams out there...

And that is sort of the point. He did well on bad teams.

I would still make that trade every time. Amazing that he has only appeared in the post season once.

He was only here as an 18-20 year old.
