I can vouch this is 110% incorrect....Luc hated the 90s logo with the lion and sunglasses, but loves the yellow jersey. The league only allows 3 games a year in which they can be worn. A little bird told me...

Unless it becomes the permanent alternate sweater. And I could've sworn the Kings wore the retro sweater 4 times each of the last 2 seasons.

3 times last year and 4 the year before. One of those times though was when they wore them in the opening game in Vancouver to celebrate the Canucks 40th year. That was the time they wore them without the names on the back.

But can't it be worn more than 3 times if it is the only alternate?

They are simply not available from any outlet. Only Ice Jerseys had a few 2 years ago.

That decision not only creates zero competition for the new (& unattractive) jerseys, it also drives the auction price for the game worn purple jerseys way up.

However, at this point I would be happy to see them on the ice wearing any jersey and Quick sporting any headgear fashion at all.

Not exactly true.

Two years ago when they wore the 67-68 jerseys, the franchise's manufacturer order for the authentics was made too late and as a result they had to sell replicas because that's all they could get their hands on en masse.

But last year, I'm sure there was a conscious decision not to order up authentic 67-68 jerseys for sale. I sincerely doubt "we were late with our summer order" would be credible a second year in a row.

Wish they'd sell them in authentic, they'd make plenty of bank on them.
