Agreed - they could play a high school team - as long as that banner goes up and they get their rings it will be something I've been waiting for since I was 7 years old. Its been a long 25 years. :-)

The Wizards play in Denver at 6pm PST the day before, so there's no way they would play again at noon in LA the day after.

By pointing that out I was trying to prove that AEG just can't change schedules on a whim. That has to go through the league, and there's no way the NBA would have ever approved that. I don't know this for a fact but I would assume their CBA forbids two games with in such a short period of time.

On this short a notice, noon on the 19th looks like it was the only option.

I saw over at HF that Calgary and Edmonton are opening against each other.

The Kings are going to play a big name team. There's a small part of me that thinks it will be the Rangers still. If all 30 teams are playing on the 19th, there will have to be one inter-conference game. Kings-Rangers makes too much sense to me, especially if Bob already hinted that it wasn't going to be VAN, ANA, SJ, or PHX.

That's my conspiracy theory at least.
