The Kings are going to play a big name team. There's a small part of me that thinks it will be the Rangers still. If all 30 teams are playing on the 19th, there will have to be one inter-conference game. Not all 30 teams will be playing on the 19th (confirmed by Bill Daly) and there will be no out-of-conference games.

Since it won't be ANA, PHO, SAN, VAN, CAL, or EDM, it will be one of CHI, COL, COM, DAL, DET, MIN, NAS, or STL.

Columbus...with JJ back in town. Sure to piss him off a tad...

My guess would be Detroit since it is a Saturday noon game and NBC maybe televising it. Hopefully FSW can also broadcast the game so we can hear Bob Miler and Jim Fox call the SC Banner Raising Ceremony and the SC Rings being given out.

Well damn there goes my theory. Not saying you're wrong, I'm just curious where you saw that Daly said all 30 would not be playing on the 19th. For awhile it was being repeated around that all 30 would be in action on the 19th.

NHL Deputy Commish Bill Daly confirms to me that all 30 teams will not be playing Jan 19, contrary to what I was told last night.
