Under the original schedule, the Kings were to have only four home games between now and the end of February (1/31 v. NSH, 2/15 v. WSH, 2/23 v. WPG, and 2/25 v. DET). I have a hard time believing it would be workable for the Kings to play only 4 out of 24/25 home games between now and the end of February and leave 20/21 home games for March and April. I therefore think they'd want to work in home games for the Kings wherever possible, which should mean a January 19 home game. The next available spots at Staples are Sunday, January 27 in the afternoon and Monday, January 28.

Confirmed with my ticket rep that opening day will be Jan 19th @ noon.
