Opening day/night celebration and banner raising
I'm going to be stoked regardless but I really hope those in charge of the banner raising ceremony somehow work a tribute to David Courtney in. Even just as simple as using his recorded voice announce "YOUR Stanley Cup Champion Los Angeles Kings!" I think that would be a perfect tribute to him and something everyone would want to hear as the Kings come out onto the ice for the best damn ceremony the Staples Center has ever seen!

I mentioned this in the thread when he died-they should use his "Ladies and gentlemen, your Los Angeles Kings" introduction for every game. I'd love it if they did what the Clippers did for their first game after he died...they used his player introduction. I didn't hear it (Thanks, Prime Ticket for cutting away), though. I'd love it if the Kings did that.

Im confident that they'll honor him in the most respectable way possible. Luc and the rest of the Kings organization are a class act. I can't wait until opening night!!!

I'd rather see something for DC separate from the banner raising so that he gets the full attention he deserves.

Jan 19 is the tentative date and I believe all 30 teams will play on that day. As for whether the Kings open on the road or at home, we won't know until at least Wednesday.

Finally something we have all been waiting for! I'm sure they will do something for DC opening night.
