makes sense to me... $40 buys you a guaranteed in and the $20 door fee is more like a cover charge... I'm most likely not going to this since other, more appealing options have come up.

whoa! like what kind of options, eh?
As said before, pre-sale tickets guarantee admission. Other SC events have sold out in the past and the presale tickets will let you avoid the line to get in.
Echoes is a great charity and really does take care of kids that have aged out of the foster care system.
I will be there with my wife!
Is it $40 in lieu of $20?
Yes, the $40 per ticket gets you in and lets you bypass the line of people paying $20 at the door and guarantees you entrance. Plus the money goes to Echoes of Hope.
Looks like under 21 is fine with a parent to take a pic and get out.Quote:
Limited number of pre-sale tickets for "Cup for Hope" party. All pre-sale ticket holders will be given priority entry into venue. If not 21 years of age, must be accompanied by parent and will be admitted for photo opportunity only.
Just bought 2 tickets! Stoked!!!
ones where I would be able to bring my kid. I didn't mind excluding her at first but I wonder if she'll hate me when she grows up. lol. she came to game 6 with us so I'd feel more complete taking a photo with my family and the cup and not just my husband and I. she's 3 so 10:30pm is too late for her.
the cup will be in and around SoCal leading up to that weekend and perhaps beyond. furthermore, those events might be more casual than a Saturday night in west LA so I can just go in a kings tee and jeans. guys can likely get away with it but being a woman, I'd feel like a slob if I didn't dress up a little at this event.
16scores brings up a good point about the charity though. it is a good cause. for all I know, I might still go but it's probably less likely than when I originally posted in this thread.
Wait, since Im 19, and I cant go in on my own, does that mean we need to pay 50$ (my mom pays and I pay) JUST for the photo? or do we just pay the 5$ fee for the photo since we will not be there for the partying?
also does anyone think there will be more events like this in the future, incase i miss this one?
Thanks for the info, guys! I just bought my friend the best birthday present.
This is a charity fundraiser! If I lived in LA, I'd be going for sure. Fantastic opportunity to get a quality picture with the Cup and help out others as well. It's a no brainer to me. The pre sale is a great idea, my last picture with the cup was a 2 hour and very stressful wait. What I would have given to have a ticket to bypass the grueling line?!?!
