Taking my wife and 1 year old to have a photo with the cup tonight (thanks to a good friend).
Just curious, do they just shuffle you through the line quickly and only give you one "photo op?" I have a feeling by 9pm, my son will be dozing off and may need a couple opportunities to look at the camera.
I'm just wondering how the process works.

Yep. Once you get to the front of the line, you will get to touch the Cup and the photographer will immediately take your picture. You'll get like 10-15 seconds tops. They went through the lines extremely fast.Quote:

You might want to double check with the photographer. When I went last time, I personally thought he was rude and didn't care if your picture turned out good or not. I'm not sure if they have different photographers (depending on the hours).

Depends on the event, the amount of people they are trying to get in and the amount of time. the sport chalet Cup appearance we were just herded in and out like cattle. you get no 1 on 1 time, you hardly get to look at the names or read anything on it. i think i spent 8 seconds with it max, just enough time for a picture and a kiss. but you know what, those were the best 8 seconds I had in a long time!
We are going at 9pm tonight...so hopefully it'll be dead by then? Wishful thinking. :)
We went to one of the rinks yesterday, and they moved us pretty quickly, but not so that we felt like cattle. Both my friend and I had our raffle tickets pulled, so we probably got about a minute each with the Cup. The photographer yesterday seemed very concerned whether the pictures turned out good and re-shot one of mine and 2-3 others that I saw. They only got huffy with us when we tried to take phone camera pictures of the Kings engravings. Have no idea if things will be similar today. Since this is (I think) on the second public appearance in Socal with the engravings, I would tend to think the even will be fairly well-attended, and I seem to recall seeing something that said all of the spots were "sold out."

I forgot to mention, I'll be there at 8pm tonight. I'll be the stout bearded guy with a richards jersey, and my wife will be wearing her Clifford jersey.
