I don't remember a time like that, but I honestly feel it is a disservice to the fans. They basically drown out the fans from doing anything organic. Fans have to try extra hard to be heard over the piped in noise and score-board stuff. Last game they had Cartman attempt to do his Go Kings Go thing, but the puck dropped so it was just the video and no audio. The Go Kings Go chant lasted much, much longer than normal. With the orchestrated chanting people give up right when the video/audio stops because puck is in play.
Whenever it is an actual organic chant they go for much longer and much louder. I'd really wish they'd dial back the theatrics during a game. If it is a TV time out, fine entertain us. But much past that let us the fans control the sound of the game more and let the theatrics be the back seat.
