Yes. I guess i was splitting hairs a little bit. The San Francisco Giants (Boo, Hiss) use real market pricing. If the team they are playing is bad, then tickets get cheaper; if the team is good, the tickets get more expensive. They actually sell tickets under "face" if a team is really really bad.

In contrast, the kings charge the same amount for the bad teams, and more for the good ones. There is not discount for when the lightening come to town.

Given the price, the event better be dynamic.

I'm just happy to have gotten a ticket. It will be great to see this team and organization raise their first banner.

Example from local LA team, The clippers of a few years ago, and clippers today.. A team that is good will charge a price to see a good team. A team that is ****, would be stupid to charge the same price and would then charge a price to get fans to come see the "terrible" team

People will complain when anything does up to 5 times its normal cost.

I bet most you people touting "Supply and demand" would be outside with signs if gas suddenly went up to $18.00/gallon...

I ended up paying 175 for section 334....how many times do you get to see an organization raise a championship banner for the first time? Plus its sit 300 cheaper than I paid for Finals tickets

When I was about 25 years old and a single guy living with a roommate struggling to get by I'd pass around the Kings schedule at work THE DAY it came out and have everyone tell me what games they wanted to go to. Then I'd show up at The Wherehouse at 9:55am for the 10:00am opening to buy the tickets for everyone at a work (there were about 7 of us) so we could all go to a bunch of games............for about $9 per game (and even that was tough for some). I think this will pay off BIG TIME................in the short run. But in the long run, for a sport that gets 60% of its revenue from ticket and concessions, they could have problems in the long run trying to create new fans. Of course, if they don't care about that and they're fine with a bunch of suits filling the seats, then Mission Accomplished!!

With dynamic pricing you would have gotten just a good deal. The Kings used to be ****ing terrible.

I sympathize with you, but the reality of the situation, as in all capitalistic ventures, is the demand drives price. If enough people band together with you and don't spend their money on the Kings, demand will ebb and the prices will drop. Don't hold your breath, though.

and they don't even know that gas is cheaper here than nearly every other first world country.
