Question about shootout yesterday
Ugly game yesterday, but did anyone know why Kopitar was so far down the list? I didn't think he was having the worst game, but maybe I was wrong. I get trying to get Richards going, but then doughty after? This could of been the difference in winning the game yesterday.

Sutter calls em as he sees em. If missing out on this point lights a fire under Kopi for the rest of the season good deal. I think a lot of people were surprised though.

I thought Kopitar was invisible the entire game

The whole game was a sleeper, with the exception of the last ten minutes or so. I hate playing Nashville, it's truly a boring brand of hockey. Maybe Kopi was in somewhat of a mini nap most of the game, though he was throwing the body around during the first ten minutes of the first.

Kopitar had a poor game. His line generated next to nothing at even strength, and just seemed a little disconnected from the game. Who knows, maybe he caught Williams' flu. Maybe it was just one of those games

To me, it's hard to hold Kopitar entirely to blame, when his linemates are either comatose (Brown) or ineffective little gnats (Williams).

There were a looooooooooooot of turnovers just as something seemed to get started. Honestly felt like Brown had too much of the puck when they were entering the zone. I'm not sure if Williams and/or Kopitar were deferring or if they were playing off of Brown, but, he really seemed to be the one that was in charge of entering the zone and getting it deep. Couple that with his play this season and it doesn't make for a very effective shift. I'm still of the mindset that they're looking to get their timing and stuff back. The only one of the top six guys that seems to be playing well right now is Carter though. The rest of them just look out of sync for the most part.

i was surprised with the quality of SO goal from richards. when he did the stutter step i was like.. nope.. then he totally redeemed himself!
IMO shootouts are a coin toss for the extra point. i actually blame whoever was in control of the scoreboard for putting "KINGS WIN" after kopi kept the kings in it for the next round. effing jynxed it!

The Richards call was good, plus Doughty had a solid game with a few offensive opportunities.
