Thread: Quicks Throwback pads and helmet

I noticed quick for the first time did not have any throwback pads or a throwback designed helmet during the COL game. but I remember seeing this during the summer:

Quick hadn't broken in the Vintage gear properly or wasn't comfortable wearing them yet.
He decided to go with the mis-matched mask and pads so he would be comfortable on the ice.

I noticed that too and it's unfortunate because those retro pads look awesome with the forum blue and gold uniforms.

I read somewhere that he was going to switch to a different style mask so maybe that had something to do with it. That being said, I am not sure if there was any truth to that rumor.

That's interesting because bernier had his broken in, I wonder if the plan was to play bernier and sutter decided to go with quick last minute.
