@MayorNHL, please pick up the nearest courtesy phone.
Hey you know for all the guys giving him grief, you probably checked that site every day during the past 7-8 seasons he was there or at the DN. He was one of the few people if at all THE person who provided us with info, unbiased info at that, without the homerism. Or as I call it, journalism.
If it is homerism you want, then the mayor is your guy. Not that there is anything wrong with that or him for that matter. Just not my cup of tea.
Thank you Rich for being there for all of us and providing us with insight that no Kings reporter or any LA hockey writer provided us with before.
Agreed. But regarding the Mayor, yes, he's writing from a fans point of view. So, homerism somewhat just goes with that territory. And also, not only does he get the best interviews with anyone involved with the Kings, past, present, and future, but he also gets the best interviews with the opposing teams as well. A lot of guys in his position would probably just stick with the home team, so for his random interviews with guys on the other bench, it's greatly appreciated.
I nominate Pancakes.

Cornell Hockey - LETS GO RED!
"I love this f***ing team right here."
I wonder if there was no lockout would he still have moved? Was he still on the payroll? If not, guy's gotta eat.
You guys are complaining about Rich Hammond leaving? What the hell does he have to cover right now? Last time I checked the Los Angeles Kings aren't playing right now, and you are completely wrong if you think the NHL is more popular than college football (even though football is hands down the worst sport ever). The lockout kills EVERYTHING. And you can only say gary buttheadman (he doesn't rate the first letters in his first and last name being capitalized) is a sad sorry and embarrassing excuse for a commissioner.
