fair enough. I think he'd slot in well on the third line but also could move up and down the lineup. I think this trade basically involves swapping "stagnated" players that could use a change in scenery.
It can work out, and he is of course more "skilled" then pretty much anyone in the bottom six that they currently have. I just don't see the fit as a winger especially on the 3rd line. He would be a great fit for PHX. What would be interesting is if they were looking at bringing him in to play center making Stoll expendable.

Other than Kopitar, the Kings ARE lacking in that dept. Our system is pretty much cycle, check, cycle, dump to the point, shoot wide... cycle cycle... having a guy in there that could pick up the cycle and maybe actually dish to a back door or change the focus of the opponents cutoff could be a pretty valuable thing...
I dont know... his contract is what scares me. guy makes a lot of coin for a "hope he fits in" thing.
And that is a big part of it for me. If we were talking about a 1-2 mil. guy, I am all in.
