Default Scrivens is getting it done

From what I'm seeing from Scrivens there isn't a drop off from Quick. He is playing outstanding and there is no need to rush Quick back into action. Frattin was the focus of the trade but it has turned to be Scrivens. This guy a heck of a goaltender.

I never saw Frattin as the focus of the trade. Scrivens was to replace Bernier as a backup, Frattin was a cheap gamble with little risk and some decent upside. The cap space was also a nice bonus. I think he's done a great job of learning the Kings system and going out there and executing.

Default Scrivens is getting it done

I actually question whether or not quicks groin wasn't nagging him prior to buffalo, he didn't seem to be moving side to side as well as he typically has, for a good part of the season, I think the Buffalo game was when it finally gave out.

Dude keeps it up, and he's gonna sign a ridiculous contract with Edmonton in July before he totally falls apart next season under their coaching.

Bill Ranford needs a fat raise.

at the draft party a couple of years ago, and under a considerable haze, i heard Birdman yell out the following (about 4 or 5 times, i think) - "don't marry yourselves to players!" he went on to reiterate that idea more than once on the boards, and i believe it to be absolutely sage.

We're still undefeated in regulation since he took over, so that's pretty nice.

If Bill manages to have a similar result with Jones as he's had with both Bernier and Scrivens he deserves a statue next to Gretzky's. He's one of the best, if not the best goalie coach.

Yes. He was old school. As in, two pad stack old school.

The reason why we haven't been scoring as much is because the Kings are playing more sound team defense and focusing more on the D-Side of things. Scrivens is making the big saves when he needs to , but our D has bailed him out plenty of times. We are just limiting chances and doing a fine job.
