Congrats to Teemu Salami (as my son once called him). I was a little confused by the title of the thread, but I think we all know what the op meant.

Always saw the dude eating at ihop with his family and thought he seemed pretty cool, so grats!

Now consider this.........

Selanne is one of the few players to have been in the NHL for all 3 lockouts of the last 20 years.

How many more goals would he have scored in those cancelled games? 50? 60? 70?

Figure he scores about .5 goal a game. So add 150 more games so 65-75 would be close. That puts him at around 730 or so. And he is not finish(ed) (see what I did there..) yet...

Congrats to Teemu. One of the classiest players ever. And reviewing that list of all time goal scorers reminded me of how much I loved Mike Gartner. Another classy player.

If they didn't have the 2nd lockout I think he would had to retire that season

He used that season as rehab and came back better than he was the previous season.
