Huh? If the Kings and Anaheim both win in regulation, Anaheim would have 29 points and the Kings would have 22. I'm pretty sure 29 - 22 ≠ 1.

I agree games in hand are important. As of this morning, the Kings have anywere from 1-3 games in hand on every team ahead of them in the standings (except Anaheim). The two teams with the most games played have played 20 games, and if you extrapolate points over 20 games played using each team's average points per game so far, the Kings would be in either the 4th or 5th spot in the West.

Bottom line: if the team keeps playing like it has played since the last Detroit game, things will be just fine.
