Someone needs to repo Bailey's drum, seriously!!! Tonight was the final straw for me. This is hockey, this isn't basketball, we don't chant "D-Fense", we don't need him and his annoying drum being beat on while the Kings are shorthanded. Specifically during Ellerby's penalty kill, it was over the top, and it didn't let up. Seriously, who can I write an email to?
Sorry for venting, but it sucks.
I'm not too worried. He did this crap last season. The first time he did it, all the casual fans in the lower level chanted "de-fense" along with him. When he did it many times after that, the real fans of the sport ignores him. You think he took a hint, but he did it again tonight but thankfully hardly anyone chanted "de-fense" along with him.
Give Bailey a break!!! He's just doing his job and so what if you happen to be sitting in the section where he is beating his drum....it doesn't last the whole game!! Bailey is a top notch Mascot and I'm sure you've laughed your butt off with some of his other antics.......let it go and just breathe.
It is annoying and it has NO business at a hockey game. And no, I haven't laughed my butt off at any of his antics. Call me a purist, but I go to hockey games to watch hockey. It is hard for me not to be annoyed by a mascot that walks around and bangs on a drum, bangs on the glass, climbs on the glass behind the penalty box of the opposition while a player is in there, does lame skits with an actor in an opposing teams jersey, etc...Originally Posted by HockeyGrandma

my kids love him. hes really not that hard to ignore if you dont like him. the guy has a sense of humor and does a lot of charity work and brought a lot of attention to the Kings. Hes really not that bad and there are worse mascots. Atleast the costume is very professional and he isnt standing in my way like Kingston did.
