You've never worn ballet slippers made out of a sweater? I thought you were all fashionable and stuff.
I've lost faith.
i think i posted some time before somewhere within the ether of lgk about having slippers (not ballet style) made out of sweater material. they didn't last long because all the wear from walking wore a hole in them. i got them as a gift from my husband because he knows i like that luxurious fashionable stuff, so it wasn't me who made the inpracticle purchase, lol.
i do however have cashmere underwear that i wear in the winter and oh boy are they awesome.

i could get behind this and now i know they should only be worn while sitting on the couch watching tv. or while lifting weights...
Cashmere sock yarn (technically a blend of cashmere, wool, and nylon but machine washable), $40 a skein....probably 2 skeins needed for slippers.
so they're like minimum $100 if you're talkin' nominal? but i'd probably feel more comfortable paying someone at least $150 to knit those. my feet aren't petite either. yowzah, those are a bit of a luxury. lol.
