    • The Cup is in Las Vegas right now for the NHL awards.
    • It will then go back to LA for about a week. There are a lot of sponsor events during that week where sponsors are entitled to have a cup for their corporate events.
    • Luc Robitaille has a hand in on the planning.
    • The NHL is forming a list of all players/coaches/management who will be entitled to have the cup for a day.
    • Travel arrangements this year should be easier than most years because only two countries other than Canada or the US need to be visited (i.e., Anze Kopitar from Jesenice, Slovenia, and Andrei Loktionov from Voskresensk, Russia, and Slava Voynov from Chelyabinsk, Russia).
    • The team captain (Brown) and selected management persons (Luc if i recall) will be allowed to have the cup for two days - everyone else gets it for one day.
Huh. Never knew that last part.

You just have to make money like this in order to afford a house like that...

In their original contracts for the first season, cast members were paid $22,500 per episode.[21] The cast members received different salaries in the second season, beginning from the $20,000 range to $40,000 per episode.[21][22] Before their salary negotiations for the third season, the cast decided to enter collective negotiations, despite Warner Bros.' preference for individual deals.[23] The actors were given the salary of the least-paid cast member, meaning Aniston and Schwimmer had their salaries reduced. The stars were paid $75,000 per episode in season three, $85,000 in season four, $100,000 in season five, $125,000 in season six, $750,000 in seasons seven and eight, and $1 million in seasons nine and ten.[24][25] The cast also received syndication royalties beginning with the fifth season.[22] At the time, that financial benefit of a piece of the show's lucrative back end profits had only been given out to stars who had ownership rights in a show, like Jerry Seinfeld and Bill Cosby.[26]

$42M for the final 4 years, after taxes.
at the draft party a couple of years ago, and under a considerable haze, i heard Birdman yell out the following (about 4 or 5 times, i think) - "don't marry yourselves to players!" he went on to reiterate that idea more than once on the boards, and i believe it to be absolutely sage.

I've seen it twice now. Didn't touch it the first time. This last time, they said NO TOUCHING, but I snuck my hand onto the back while taking the picture. Still, I want some pics like HISTKIN's... We WON THE DAMN THING, no more guilt or superstitions about touching or hugging it! Can't wait!

Credit to how intelligent you are. In comparison, my first thought was "Is that a Pepsi can sitting on that little slab of cement?"
