So no more Ticketmaster? This is good news no?
AXS is the company that AEG created to sell it's own concert tickets. Kings tickets will continue to go through Ticketmaster until the end of this season.
AEG moves to battle Ticketmaster head on - latimes.com
The Ontario Reign uses Axs ticketing if I recall correctly. Still has fees just like ticketbastard... though hopefully not as much.
No such luck. I don't have tickets to any Kings games in February, so I bought a ticket to the Reign game on the 16th. $26 + $9.50 in fees.
36.5% of the final price for fees is ridiculous.
It's the "convence" of sitting on your rear at home and getting tickets. $9.50 for the Reign is pretty high. Was Springsteen playing between periods? Jeez.
Many have fought Ticketmaster . No one has had any luck yet , they have a monopoly on the market .
Well, in the case of Live Nation, they "merged".
Now, with AEG starting AXS there are a lot of similarities.
Goldenvoice, as the concert promotion wing. Of course, the venues... Imagine, Ticketbaster/ "Live Nation Entertainment"- AEG.... I smell a merger of entities within 5 years. With Uncle Phil owning a considerable portion.
The secret way for AEG to fund Farmers' Field.
This is great news....for AEG. Still will be like a monopoly and still gives no incentive for lower fees for the consumer.
