Thread: Stewart waived

I'll add Ges that the Kings have only played 1 GAME and w/ Kopi back tonight and hearing Willie is not far behind I just don't understand the reason some need to panic over losing one bottom pair defenseman (all respect to Greene). Any how, I saw this coming w/ Stewart. Gagne and Richardson are already sitting and have trade value if necessary.

The Kings are a good team, but they are also an example of "get into the playoffs and anything can happen." The Kings got into the playoffs as an 8th seed with a couple of games to go and rode a hot goalie. Am I concerned with the loss of Greene? You bet. Am panicked over his loss or the loss of one game? Not all. But all of this talk about the Kings repeating, being a lock for the playoffs, getting no respect, etc., is disconcerting. I'll call the start of a dynasty, perennial Cup contender, etc., in hindsight.

Except that 8 seed was the result of half the season with bad coaching and 4 players yet to be added. (and 1 subtracted)
Under sutter, the kings were the most dominant possession team (as measured by shot percentage). There was no fluke involved.

I didn't say fluke. What I implied is that the expectations may be a bit high. We'll see.
