Per McKenzie. Shocking news. I guess he didn't beat out Kopi. Manchester is short on bodies so welcome news for them.

This kid from Slovenia better be good or else, dammit Dean-O!
Go Kings
For![]()
No good players ever came out of Slovenia. This is a mistake.
This season is turning out to be a cluster**** already.
Wtf? This is like the Kings of the good old days, I thought the days of stupid trades were behind us.
Apologies if I'm missing the sarcasm, but this wasn't a stupid trade. Westgarth for 2 picks and an insurance policy doesn't hurt my head much.
The way I see it, every team in the league acquires a certain number of players that don't work out. On a bad team, it just matters more.
The difference is that guys like Anson Carter, Cliff Ronning, and Mark Parrish were needed to come in and have an impact, which they never did. The Kings back then were an incomplete team with big holes in the lineup. The beauty of where the team is at now is that there aren't really any permanent holes to fill. You're either looking at cover for injuries or maybe a slight upgrade at a position. But you don't need a guy to come in and have a major impact. Not when you've got a spare part as good as Richardson and a surplus of top 6 wingers that could potentially see Simon Gagne as a healthy scratch.
Stewart was just a guy who created some healthy competiton and forced Nolan to earn his spot. Plus if Stewart clears waivers, Manchester gets 2 things it really needs - a veteran and a guy who isn't shorter than 5'8.
----
Now, if Greene is out for the season, and if Mitchell has another setback, and they go out and get a guy with 3 years to go on a stupid contract who can't skate anymore, well - that would be a different story.
The was no sarcasm involved, I simply forgot about the 2 picks, it was a long day for me.
with Clifford, Nolan, and King still in the lineup, where did you think he'd play? He's an insurance policy
Cornell Hockey - LETS GO RED!
"I love this f***ing team right here."
really? are you THAT taken by the fact that the Kings had the great fortune of being healthy all last season? that's part of the equation of winning a Stanley Cup... and besides having a bounce or two (or 5-minute major or two), it's the one aspect you have very little control over and requires a great deal of luck.
not only are injuries to start any season normal, they are compounded both by a team playing another 25% of a full season, and an accelerated clock due to a lockout.
you'd honestly be a fool if you didn't anticipate almost to the point of expecting this to happen.
the Cup win wasn't a fluke. this is STILL a terrific team - with some of the very best players in the league at their respective positions. yeah, they're down two very important pieces... Mitchell will be back, and Greene, if God is on his side, will be back in time for the playoffs.
people are weirded out over this whole Stewart thing? please!
relax... ride it... the Kings are the champs!
