Option 1
Option 2
I had already finished paying my full season seats last month for 2012-2013 so I chose option 1. No matter when the season starts, I will still be a STH so why not have that all paid off and earn 5%?
I have been fortunate enough to have had my seats in the Die Hard section before it was even the Die Hard section. If the Kings organization gets rid of this great section, then something is seriously wrong. I cannot even imagine how many people that would not be able to renew. If this is the case, that the section is losing its pricing, then it needs to be addressed now, before it becomes a full on panic. I will be submitting a letter to my rep to see if this is indeed happening. I will share my response when I receive it.
Wow. It seems you season ticket holders are getting boned hard. I guess I'm kinda' glad I was too broke to buy season seats.
Just received this email:
As a result of the ongoing negotiations between the National Hockey League and the National Hockey League Players' Association, 2012-13 NHL preseason games scheduled through September 30th have been cancelled.
This affects the following games:
Monday, September 24th Coyotes at Kings
Monday, September 24th Kings at Coyotes
Wednesday, September 26th Kings at Avalanche
Saturday, September 29th Avalanche at Kings in Las Vegas, NV (Frozen Fury)

Ok, I just talked to my rep. I had initially selected Option 2. He said this language
If Licensee chooses Option 2, Kings cannot guarantee the renewal of your ticket package in the same location for the 2012-2013 Stanley Cup Playoffs or 2013-2014 NHL Season.
was inserted into that option for legal reasons. He said the Kings are not going to screw season ticket holders and would plan to give first right of refusal to their seat for the 2013-2014 if the entire 2012-2013 season were to be cancelled. He also said that in the event a shortened season is played in 2012-2013, that payments would begin again as usual for STM and you would still be eligible for your seat going into the playoffs (which the Kings are going to be in regularly from now on)
That said, if you believe there are going to be games played this season, then Option 1 is probably the better plan. I have only been charged for about 1/3rd of the cost for my seat. No further charges are planned until the lockout is resolved. Once the season starts up again, a pro-rated amount for the total games that end up being played will be charged on top of what I have already paid (for anyone on a monthly payment plan). And 5% interest on top of that money of course.
So, I have changed back to Option 1 for now. Btw, anyone changing their minds on the Option they have chosen one way or the other, it can be switched by calling your rep.
Side note- I have a new rep this year, Courtney Ports. Seemed like a great guy! Fairly knowledgeable about the situation and happy to provide info.

Is there an option to pay your seats in full and collect the 5%? Where else can you collect 5% in an account right now?
