Thread: Take 2: Could Frozen Fury XV become a very large Fan protest?

I was thinking that since so many of already made plans long ago and are still going, even if 1/2 of the fans still go, it could be what, 8,000 hockey fans in one location.

With no games and other large scale gatherings could we all use this as a platform to let the NHL know how we think.

a handful of fans gathered outside of the NHL store and made all the blogs.

Hey Mod, I've seen 10 threads about the CBA not get merged, this isn't about the CBA, let it stand on it's own.

I hear you, my **** just got merged the other day.

This lockout isn't about or for the fans. I am angry that we will have no hockey, boohoo I'll get over it. What it's really doing is hurting those in the industry, the organizations and venues. For an example, if they were to lockout the entire season, Staples Center staff would lose 1/3 of their pay.

Fans can get all butthurt and protest all they want, but this isn't about the fans.

You also have to be careful where you protest, remember the MGM and the MGM Arena are private property.

It will work out great, just like every similar attempt at Staples, with 18,000 hockey fans there, has worked out.

It certainly wouldn't happen on MGM property, which is 95% of the strip. It could be a mass of fans walking up and down the strip in jerseys and some signs and a few phone calls to the local news.

If you look at the MGM's rates for saturday they must be feeling the cancellations, the rates are down in the mid $200s for saturday night when they were pushing $500 a few weeks ago.

Protests don't matter because they don't care about the fans in this case.

It's not like Donald Fehr or Gary Bettman are gonna see a bunch of pictures of the fans and say to themselves, "Wow. I didn't know the fans felt that way. Maybe we should rethink our approach."

I'll be too drunk to care enough to protest.
