Gun Control? Bah! In a unrealistic Utopian society starting from scratch, it may work but in a Country where 200 million plus firearms are already out there, it wont work in ANY form. Its too late to try and succeed. But it seems these days that "trying" is "success enough". Whateves. So the Government checking the mental competency of those requesting a gun permit (including me, the proud owner of 5 firearms but NOT a member nor supporter of the NRA or Republican Party...cRaZy Huh?!) is the only way to stop all normal people that are committing all these gosh darn gun murders and stuffs whilst the mentally unstable criminals continue to steal them, buy them underground or do whatever criminals do to gain access to them...Kind of like the drug war that has been working oh-so-well for the past 30+ years? But like I said, its the "trying" that counts.
