i'll take a look to see how sturdy they are once i have them in hand. i have some crystal wine and double old fashioned glasses that hold up well in the dishwasher. even if i hand wash though, at least the design won't rub off. i have to be careful to not even scrub the part of my kings mug that has the decal because i'm worried more of it will come off. so far, the "stan" part of "stanley cup" is the only part to come off on the side that says stanley cup final. the other side still has the cup and champs design intact, but i'm careful about how i wash that part now that i know.
Oh yeah, be careful. Mine came off entirely after 2 or 3 dishwasher cycles.

$1,000 for the Tiffany Kings ring??? It's sterling silver. That's way too much for a ring that going to tarnish.

and that isn't even an accurate replica and that has no gems. Pshh.

On a side note, I wonder why the Kings didn't use Jostens? Not that there is anything wrong with Tiffany's, of course... but the last four teams used them and those rings are all amazing.

I hate the Kings rings. It looks like plastic. They just colored in the black in the logo instead of using onyx, and used smaller diamonds, so all you see are the settings. I was very disappointed, and I told my dad not to make me a replica. Yes, that's how cheap it looks. To me, Boston's 2011 ring is by far the nicest looking cup ring. Detroits comes close. Jostens is well known and do NBA, MLB rings as well and those turn out beautiful. Why did they have to go and show off. Tiffany gets a D- in my book.

i'd call them instead and maybe complain about the loser you talked to. that's not acceptable service and pretty sure it's not the norm. they're paid to kiss ass.
Let us/me know when you receive them lunchie. Wifey is suggesting we buy 2 sets soon. Im sure (hopefully) the SCC Shield is either chemically etched or sandblasted into the crystal but I want to make darn sure first. As much as I want to believe the big crystal manufactures still etch their products, I wouldn’t be surprised to see someone go to friggn frosty tape...like I know Mikasa has. :(

If you and your dad have the power to make you a replica with all of these brilliant materials and gems... why don't you just make your version with onyx?

ok, here's my tumblers. hard to wash since my hands and the sponge at my pops-in-law's house don't really fit in there well. might just throw it in the dishwasher since the etchings look pretty sturdy. nocturn, i don't know what this frosty tape you speak of is. if you want these, you could always call and ask exactly what they used to put the design on. it is raised and i tried scratching it pretty hard with my nail and it stayed... so...?
i do know that i won't trust other people other than my husband to handle since the glass is kind of thin. it didn't feel brittle, but definitely not like my other crystal. (probably because it's not crystal, haha!... but the beer mugs, those are crystal).
