Hell yes if you can the extra coin lying around go for the Tiffany's stuff. I don't really roll like that. I love the Kings stuff and would like to have some. As far as their overpriced diamonds etc....I'll pass. And my wife has no interest in liking Tiffany's for the sake of being a label whore.
that's really weird and too bad. i called the tiffany's at south coast plaza and asked if they had the tumblers in stock and they said that since the season just started, they hadn't received them yet but that they'd put an order in for me and i can pick it up in about a week (maybe 2). totally pleasant experience for me. i'm going to be drinking my whiskey from the tumblers when they come in. can't wait.
i'd call them instead and maybe complain about the loser you talked to. that's not acceptable service and pretty sure it's not the norm. they're paid to kiss ass.
Ok I'm not saying that everyone who likes Tiffany's is a label whore. But there are plenty of those people out there. People who think that Tiffany's has better quality diamonds just b/c they are Tiffany's are smoking some great stuff. If you take a diamond from Tiffany's and a diamond from the jewelery district in downtown LA and they are the exact same cut, color, clarity and carat I will guarantee you that the one at Tiffany's will always be significantly higher priced. Simply b/c of the name. Why would anyone ever pay that much more unless they want it simply b/c of the name Tiffany's? GIA certified is GIA certified no matter where you buy it from.
KRC ^^^^^^^ I would say the biggest difference is you can't get a knock off Kings Champ ring from the jeweley district down town or anywhere else with out breaking some sort of copy right/ product lic. law..
the only ring Ive ever worn are two modest white gold wedding bands. I don't even own a regular watch, just a pocket watch which was my pops. never have been into bling.
If somebody here is willing to marry me, lol, I'll get it for you as a wedding ring! mhihi: :manybeers:
I can see and understand what you're saying. I dont agree with most of it but I understand it. Im not going to argue with it because it is your opinion. Its neither right nor wrong, its an opinion. Nothing more, nothing less. What you said could be said about absolutely anything. I want a Blu Ray player. I prefer OPPO. Yes, I could buy a Coby for 1/20th of the cost of a OPPO. I mean...its still a Blu Ray player and all but I prefer OPPO. Does that make me a "Brand Whore"? No, not at all. That makes me someone that prefers the best available and I'm willing to pay the price for the best available.
Be reminded that different people buy different things for different reasons. Not everyone's first concern is about GIA Cert, which seems to have the utmost importance to you. Great, buy for that reason! If the Tiffany brand holds priority on the hierarchy list, you have every right to buy Tiffany without ridicule. See where I'm going with this??? There are may facets (pun) to someone buying something. What is most important to you may rank 3rd to someone else.
If someone wants to 'overpay' for a diamond because its a Tiffany, let them do it. They are absolutely buying the right to say "It is a Tiffany.". Unfortunately and unless you're buying second hand, you cant buy that right from the Jewelry District in Downtown LA. It IS as simple as that.
