I would be surprised if it happens this year. Tip-a-King is another “pre-cup” format that is a recipe for another Hockey Fest disaster.
The Kings are likely going to have to raise the prices on the fan events or limit the number of tickets to keep the crowds down. Unless the team goes on a year long losing streak, say goodbye to the old fan events. Oh the good old days!

Well, I'm OK with the trade-off of more wins = less player availability to fans.

Wasn't it initially like $700 last year? And then when they saw no one was buying at that price, they dropped it to $350ish?

Entry to these type of events should be allowed only after a fan has correctly answered Kings' trivia questions.
Correctly answering the question, "What was Rogie Vachon's number?" gets you access to the line with Fraser, Nolan, and Carcillo's table.
Correctly answering the question, "Name one of Rogie Vachon's backups?" gets you into the Carter, Richards, Quick line.
Answering "Wayne Gretzky", to the question who is the greatest Kings' player of all time, gets you banned for life from these events.

Or just charge people a bunch of money to attend the event, and that will keep all the fairweather and ebay selling scumbags away.
