Now it gets VERY interesting. The two cup clinching games are in a class by themselves, and are at the top of the list. Which order? I'll cross that bridge when we get to it. In the meantime, this current poll for me comes down to game 7 vs. Chicago this year vs. Game 7 vs. Toronto in 1993. Both games were: 1) 5-4 victories 2) on the road 3) against an original 6 opponent that 4) denied an original 6 SCF and 5) put the Kings the Stanley Cup final. Both games were incredibly action-packed and intense. But, 1993 was the first time the Kings made it to the Stanley Cup Final. They defeated not only the Maple Leafs, but really an entire country that was rooting for a Toronto-Montreal SCF. Talk about going into the lion's den. That's what Maple Leaf Gardens was that night. It was jam-packed, and the Skydome had 30,000 watching the game as well. It took Gretzky's greatest game to pull it off, and they did. Before 2012, it was the Kings' brightest moment. For that reason, it survives this poll, which means this year's game 7 is voted off.

Yeah but this years game 7 had a 2OT, was the longest game in Kings history, was exactly one year after a conference final defeat to the same team (Chicago) which basically took the cup away from the Kings. This game was the Kings returning the favor to Chicago. It also made the Kings the only team to go to three consecutive game 7's and win. There was blood on the floor coming in and it was a truly historic game.

too hard. Can't pick. I will wait to listen to everyone's "arguments" for each game. Thought I had it all worked out in my head a few weeks ago, but now I can't pick. This poll would have been much easier 3 months ago. Why did you have to win another Cup in a spectacular manner and make my life so hard, Kings????

Did I plan for these polls to end the eve of the Kings' first 2014-15 pre-season games?

True points, except that the 2OT longest game in Kings history was game 5 of the SCF against the Rangers. The Chicago game ended about 6 minutes into OT.

Your right, I was mixing up the great Martinez OT goals. Isn't is great that that can even be a problem?

Correction, one of the best OT goals in Kings history.

As a Kings fan of 30 years, I still have a hard time believing that we do have this problem! Believe me, I'm not complaining! This poll is a lot harder now than it would have been 3 years ago, and that is a very good thing.

Sorry to see it looks like the Leafs game 7 will drop off before the 'Hawks game 7. In the last month I watched the entirety of both series, and '93 was better, both the series and game 7 on its own. The compete level was higher, by both teams. My own view is that this years series does well because it's this year's series, and also because it was followed by a Stanley cup win, and that over time the Hawks game and series won't hold the same place in the hearts of Kings' fans as the Leafs series still does all these years later. Or maybe it's just me.

As an aside, two things struck me about the Leafs series. The first is that the moves over the years to reduce fighting are misplaced; there was exactly one fight in the Leafs series, in game one after McSorely's elbow on Gilmour. After that, both teams skated away rather than throw punches, and didn't need the refs jumping in after every whistle to separate them. There was more jawboning, but no more fighting after the one, and the game was better for it. The other thing I noticed, also about the officiating, is that one referee can call too many penalties just as easily as two can.
