Default Value of Tim Gleason to the Kings

Should the Kings have any interest in Tim Gleason? If so, at what cost.

Would you trade Jake Muzzin straight up?

Fact is Mitchell, may have a concussion and could be out a while. I don't see him being resigned.

Greene is a pending UFA, and should be resigned.

Rehger, is getting older and slower, and is a pending UFA after next season.

Gleason, is still younger than 2 of our current d'men. Gonna be 31 in January and I think would slot in really well with Doughty.

Do you think Muzzin for Gleason straight up is enough, too much, or not enough? Would we have to throw something in? Maybe Frattin?

    Thoughts?

    Muzzin? Hell no.

Frattin and Vey are prototypical Carolina forwards, so they would be attractive to Rutherford. Actually, I could see Frattin being dealt to the Canes for a pick before the end of the year.

However, Gleason is now just a shadow of the player who helped them back in 2009. He is over paid and just not sound enough in his own end to replace either of Mitchell or Greene.

where are you getting your intel on Mitchell? sutter said it was an upper body then he got sick the next day.

I also find your comment on Greene debatable. Even though I'd love to get him re-signed, I could see other teams in more need of his services coughing up a good amount for him. I wouldn't be surprised if Edmonton doesn't try to get him back in the offseason.

but i digress, back to answer your question: Quick for Gleason. straight up.

First, Mitchell skated today, so im assuming (also based on the way he discussed the injury) that it's not a concussion.

With that aside, and the way things are shaping up on D for this team in the off season, i'd personally like the Kings to pursue a long term move for a top notch stay at home D man. Whether that happens at the trade deadline, or during the offseason, that's what i'd personally like to see. What I don't want to see is Lombardi waste assets on a rental for the post season. I know we have a glaring deficiency at LW, and id like to see that fixed as well, but i dont see that happening this season.

I'd be willing to deal the following:
    - Muzzin or Martinez
    - any all picks are on the table as far as im concerned
    - pretty much any prospect outside of Toffoli
    - I'd be willing to consider moving Stoll or Lewis if the return was an offer that really made sense for this team, otherwise I very much like them where they are on this team. With that said, I dont know that Lombardi considers Stoll as somebody he'd be willing to trade, given his role on the team, and the depth he provides up the middle.
    - Scrivens too is moveable, but i dont see much of a return on him, and i wouldnt want to move him before i know absolutely that Quick is back and 100%. So the timing of that doesn't make easy to move.
    - Frattin is definitely tradable in my book.
