LAX has a shuttle to Union Station downtown for (I believe) $7 one way. Its direct. I've used it and works well. Just stay downtown. The subway will run until 2AM the days you are here anyway. I live in the area. Its fun and not as bad as people make it out to be.

The O Hotel and the Ritz Miler are also "boutique" hotels. Nothing fancy about the Milner but its close to Staples and the subway.

Maybe grab breakfast at Nickel Diner on Main Street. They have some great French Toast and the Bacon Doughnut is really good too.

I decided to cancel Jimmy Kimmel all together and just do the LA game. Coming down the 18th and leaving the 19th afternoon after game! lol

So decided not to rent car and just shuttle.

Looking into Luxe and also the Ritz and Westin? Is it walkable to staples?

    Thanks guys!

Also any tips on where to get game opener tics?
All those hotels are within walking distance to the Stapler .

I haven't seen this one mentioned: Figueroa Hotel
I've not stayed there but I've had many drinks in the pool bar (including post-Game 6).

The Luxe is right across the street from the Stape, and is a nice place. Parking is $20. Plus if you get your tickets from Barry's Tickets, there is a outlet for them in the lobby.

I'd also recommend the Nickel Diner. The food is great, but it's a little to far to walk there from the Luxe. But there's a parking lot next to the place.
