No knock on Voynov but Doughty has stolen a few goals from opposing players this year with his "homeplate" defence.

well he does lead the team with blocked shots and a few of them have been major goal savers, yes.

I don't think its a stretch to think Voynov will have the most points amongst dmen on the team, but he still isn't in that 28-30 minute all around dman level... yet.

well he does lead the defense with hits (42, next closest is ellerby with 29) and a few of them have been BIG ones. as for the huge minutes, he leads scuderi (the second most minutes) in TOI by almost an hour. as for the offense, he's fourth on the team in SOG (first among the d) so i have to believe the goals will come sometime. the twenty minute wind ups before every shot need to go though. but he is fourth on the team (first among the d) in special teams points.

all in all, he hasn't been consistent but he hasn't been the pathetic, useless plug so many of our fans like to paint him to be.
