Good thing he didn't go back to Russia, huh? He's still young and there will be more ups and downs, but yesterday... damn! He may have been the best Kings' player on a day the team played very well. He still needs work in the defensive zone but his wheels manage to make up for many of the errors. Terrific offensive instincts, nice hands and his ability to get the puck through bodies and on net is uncanny. His slight hesitation and step to the side move yesterday to change the angle and get the puck to the net from the point with a player coming at him made me giggle like a school girl. Doughty needs to watch some tape of Slava, because he certainly has the talent to do the same thing.

He is what Hickey was supposed to be. Just shows you what a crap shoot the draft can be.

He's a poor man's Erik Karlsson. He's taken a huge step forward this year.

My bold prediction this year was that Slava would finish with more points than Drew.

That's lookin' like a solid prediction. He knows how to produce, and I think he great in his own zone.

Anyone think its a coincidence that on the night hes paired with Scuds (to start out the night) that he has one of his best games? I would assume it is huge when you dont have to worry about what your D partner is doing and if you will have to cover for him. You put Scuds with him and all Slava has to do is worry about his game
