It's plenty possible to still be pissed and also realize that sitting around and being pissed instead of realizing that you're going to get over it eventually, so you might sa well not miss what you are so pissed about missing in the first place. That may or may not make sense.

I'm not going to another NHL game for a long time I think. I'm tired of hearing about the players union and owners bickering about how much money they are going to make off of the typical fan who most likely spends the last of their pay check just to see them play. It's obvious to me that most of the players just want to play by a good majority of them playing in other leagues while an agreement was being reached. Instead the only thing we are going hear about is how much they are going to be raising ticket prices in the coming year just so they can cover their overhead of overpriced contracts. To be sure I will just watch them for free on FOX Sports and NBC.

Lockout actually helps Kings? (ESPN)

I won't be missing, I'll be watching on TV. But as for buying the tickets, the concessions, the parking, the jerseys, the sweaters, the hats, the pucks, the knick knacks and all that stuff - nope. Done. Eff 'em. They've already gotten enough of my money in the past. I truly don't need another jersey or bumper sticker.

That cap number is for next season, whereby we are sitting at $49M with 13 players signed. The cap number for this season is $70M, and we're going to have room to add at the deadline.

I was mad at the owners. They were asking the players to give up far too much in my opinion and their pride or egos caused them to walk away from negotiations too frequently.

I know they had a lot to discuss and are still discussing stuff, but who really won this lockout? We know the fans are the losers by a mile. But when it comes to owners vs players? Who got the upper hand?

I don't give an eff who "won".
It shouldn't be about that.

As for those that will continue to support the NHL after what happened, I will be one of them, however from the comforts of my home. I will not spend any money this year by going to the games or by purchasing merchandise. The NHL and players proved to me that they do not need the fans money to grow the game. The fact that they had a set date in January to end the lockout proved to me that the fans are not even a factor in their plans.
I do feel sorry for the Kings fans because October of 2012 was supposed to be a celebration for the fans however that was taken away from them because of greed caused by the fans. Raising the banner three months later has lost it's luster and momentum of an incredible run and that is a shame. I am happy that they will resume with a shortened season, however I will not forget why. Just doesn't feel as special after what happend last year.
