That's just how I feel. I know I stand alone regarding my dislike of the players who took off for other countries. To me, loyalty means everything and players leaving the U.S. and not sticking with their union brothers just leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Those guys went to other countries, took jobs away from ones more deserving and now All Star games are coming up over there and these players are leaving them to return to U.S. I know none of them give a crap what the fans think but,.......well, that's my opinion.
Home Opener is Jan 19 day game..It's tentative
Penalty Box here I come! I can afford beer, but not tickets. Ain't no problem by me though. Rah!
I find it funny how once they decided to end it, it ended.
It was going until January 5th regardless. That was the date, or close to it.
Both sides knew when the plug to a season would be pulled. That's my belief.
It's pretty clear: follow the money. Owners got 7% of hrr increase per year. (3.3B x .07 x 8 years = 1.8B at minimum or about 60M per team and that's before any consideration for growth)
Considering how the income is distributed among the teams, I'd say Toronto profits increase by about 300M over the course of the 8 years.
Toronto Maple Leafs: Last in the Northeast, #1 at the bank
