No your not, but people are still venting over the lock out, give it a couple of weeks and things will return to normal.

    Three days apart.

I knew everyone (myself included) was just talking in circles in this thread, but having some verifiable proof is fun.

Lol I'm not talking in circles.I think because we haven't had hockey in so long and the Kings won the Cup there still will be very good attendance. The Kings sold out a lot of games last season. The Lakers having a horrible year helps also ..I think just for the fact there was a,lockout and its now 3 months later and it won't be the Rangers on a Friday night it will bring the ticket price down.I was looking at what they were going for during the summer and seats were going for around $250 for seats in the 300 level.I don't think the Kings attendance will suffer. It will in other cities though.

Yes a lot of people are ticked off and that will hurt ticket prices for this game.If the Kings sold out a ton of games last year when they couldn't score they will sell out games.

Considering how the income is distributed among the teams, I'd say Toronto profits increase by about 300M over the course of the 8 years.
I don't think you can calc it that way. You have to add back in the make whole money.

And you're also not assuming growth.
at the draft party a couple of years ago, and under a considerable haze, i heard Birdman yell out the following (about 4 or 5 times, i think) - "don't marry yourselves to players!" he went on to reiterate that idea more than once on the boards, and i believe it to be absolutely sage.

How the hell is Minnesota 18/1 odds? Even with Suter and Parise, that team has a better chance at finishing 30th than it does at winning the Cup.

I might just put $50 on Ottawa at 40/1. Very underrated team.

I can't believe the Yotes have the fifth worse odds. Didn't they play in the WCF? No love for the Panthers either after a solid season.

I was just going for a ballpark figure
    Growth is uncertain
But you don't disagree with the Teams profits increase, and high revenue teams profit most.

I placed my bet in Vegas this past Sept to win the cup. Why is NY 17/2 ? Why not just 9/1 or something?
