Needless to say, it would speak volumes if the owners themselves accomplish in a few days what Bettman and Fehr could not accomplish in several weeks.

I like the fact that they didn't say they need time to look over the offer. They are off to dinner and then (most likely) back to meetings. This is looking very good.

bettman and fehr are incompetent jackwagons who shouldn't be allowed to have any say in any hockey related decisions. fehr is most likely going back to MLB after these shenanigans are over. As for bettman, his miserable reign as a failure of a commissioner needs to be over, and over as in now.

I am now concerned about the NHL since Sons OF Anarchy is over for the season. NEED LA KINGS HOCKEY!

Not a chance. he was the one suggesting that his and Fehr's egos are getting in the way and that paved the way to this owners/players talk. The owners love him as commish.

That's because it's the drop dead date for a 61 games season. Sponsor deals go up in flames without those 61 games which would cost the owners and the players mucho dinero.
