Nicholas Cotsonika has written some very good, level-headed commentaries about the lockout. On the whole this one isn't as strong as some have been, but it's still quite good.

I've seen games involving teams from EVERY one of those leagues, have you? I've even been to three Valencia Flyers games this year. They are a very well-coached team, BTW, I recommend checking them out.

So it's settled - a March Madness style tournament from the beginning it is. Unbelievable.

WTF is wrong with some of you? I love hockey. I would love 500 games per year. I will love 50 games if it comes down to it after these ****ers get their heads out of their asses. I love minor league hockey. I love international hockey. I don't care if they start televising hockey from Outer Mongolia on NHLN...I will watch. I love my Reign season tix. I love driving 40 miles each way to go to those games on the nights when I am not going directly from work. I always assumed that most people on a hockey board...especially THIS hockey board...would feel just about how I do.

Now the union is going to vote on disclaimer. Armageddon or resolution? ****in A.

regardless of how and when this ends, how many careers are over? selanne? OD? very sad. especially when a lot of ppl out there are struggling to survive and the NHL/NHLPA are arguing how to divide 3 billion. i know its simplistic but without all the details and facts except for what they WANT to tell us, that is my perspective. there are no epiphanies but as a fan, you cannot help but feel in someway being seen as an afterthought.

Just kind of a thought here, but instead of that, why not just let them vote on the owners' offer instead?

Well actually they are only authorized to take a vote. it doesn't necessarily mean they will.
