They're all playing some very high stakes poker.

I know I'll be back watching the Kings as soon as they start playing. And that's tv and tickets. Just no concessions and merchandise for a couple of years. I mean really...any year could be Bob's last year of calling games and I don't want to miss him excelling at his craft.

Goalies will never be "fair game". Goal tending equipment isn't designed for body contact. They would be sitting ducks.

You could be right in that they won't do it nor seriously consider it.... but it's the Stanley Cup organization's choice, not the NHL's choice.

Not one little thing is wrong with it. I just believe that if the goalie gets out of his crease to play it, he should be willing to pay the price.

That would be an amazing rule because I feel like too many goalies walk the thin line of playing the puck behind their net and then causing interference with their bodies after doing so. Sure, no contact in the crease area, but if they want to come out of the crease and play the puck, there needs to be a bigger risk, this bigger risk would be that they are fair game and this bigger risk would make them think twice before leaving their crease. Id love to see Mike Smith get freight-trained by Dustin Brown!
