Id love to see Mike Smith get freight-trained by Dustin Brown!

Roy was especially eggregious about it. He'd flat out step over the puck and cheap shot the attacking forward knowing he wouldn't get a penalty. You can't make them completely fair game, but they shouldn't be allowed to interfere the way they do either

Milan Lucic doesn't need a rule

Hahaha, the best part of that was the two Sabres that tried to come to Miller's aid and Lucic just swatted them away like flys! Neither of them wanted a piece of Lucic, he would have rolled both of them!

Bettman is the worst commissioner of any sport ever...Multiple Work stoppages, entire seasons lost, alienation of the fan base and more. Isn't the commissioner's job to do what is in the best interest for the integrity of the league? A real shame and once again baffling that the NHL could be the best league in NA but continually makes the decision to be the worst.

A real commissioner would have locked all parties in a room until a deal was forcefully hammered out....and done as much in AUGUST.

...except for the fact that if the other side isn't willing to negotiate, it's a huge waste of time. I'm not saying you're wrong on any given point on Bettman, but to suggest this is any one person's fault is silly.

If the other side won't sit down, or talk, or work with you, nothing will get done. Even if the NHL did have a good commish.

NHLPA votes to authorize move to disband, sources say - ESPN

Not a good sign for hockey this season, but at this point it was expected.
