The podium was out because Bettman was going to have a press conference at 10 o'clock this morning, Bettman canceled it because he had a board of governors meeting and then some of the owners had a meeting with the PA later on in the day. So Bettman waited until all the meetings were done for the day before he had a press conference at the podium.

I was on Twitter all day getting info on baseball trades and my Twitter feed was jammed with reports that a deal is done or close to it in the NHL I guess everyone is wrong then but I believe thus thing is going to be settled this week and honestly at this point I don't care I just want to see the Kings raise their banner.I read that players in Europe were coming back.Where there is smoke there is fire

I hope a deal does get done. The owners then need to fire Bettman.

Nothing is done until signatures go on paper. These things have a way of coming apart at the last minute.
