Thread: We are BACK!!!! NHL AND NHLPA REACH DEAL ON COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENT

I was listening to the Blue Lunch radio show on TSN 1050 Toronto a while ago. The guest on there said that the owners have told bettman that the cancellation of the season is an unacceptable option. That means there will be about 2 weeks of back and forth amongst the sides, and fehr with quite a bit of leverage...assuming all of this is true. My hopes still aren't raised though.

From everything I've seen that seems to be the case. As I said before, I think there is going to be a season. This is going to go down to the wire and slowly but steadily the PA's position will keep improving. They will reach an agreement at the last possible minute. The owners are in a bad place now, it really feels like they have gotten to a place where they are negotiating against themselves.

Well, the owners keep blinking... Fehr is certainly doing his job in getting the owners to bargain against themselves.

When you consider how much the PA has been losing every day, will any "gains" really be worth the losses?

Problem is, that offer is off the table and in what form could that offer make a future appearance, if at all?

I am not nearly as knowledgeable about the negotiations but it seems to me they are close on a lot of issues.From what I read today in this new proposal they were putting the 300 million back on the table.I hope the PA accepts this.Let's play hockey
