Is this McKenzie person actually "IN" the meeting? Or is he just tweeting nonsense?

A few of the owners pushed hard yest to boost Make Whole to $300 mil to close deal. It wasn't received well which infuriated owners.

A 61 game season? Pray tell exactly how that would work? Every team gets 30.5 home games? So, the Kings and Ducks would play the first period and start the second period at Staples, stop the game halfway through the second period, and everyone drives down the 5 to the Pond to pick things up halfway through the game? I seriously doubt anyone would agree to a schedule in which some teams would get 31 home games and some get only 30.

Eliotte Friedman, as usual, with a good article:

Well, apparently for a lot of teams to get full payment of whatever sponsorship deals they may have, they must play 75% of the season. That works out to 61.5 games. I'm not sure how you play a half a game...

Bob McKenzie is probably the most well-respected hockey journalist alive today. The entire lock-out he's refused to take part in the rumor mongering. If he says something, it's coming from a reliable source.

Someone needs to photoshop Star Wars Imperial navy uniforms onto that picture of Daly and Jacobs.

    Bob McKenzie @TSNBobMcKenzie
Many players here don't like what's on table - "what's in it for us" mantra - but many others not here say this could be a workable deal.
