3 things to remember: 1. Until whole deal is done, none of it is done. 2. I'm cautiously, VERY cautiously, optimistic. 3. Re-read No. 1.
Every time Fehr has backed out the deal has gotten a little better. If Friday is the drop dead date, why settle this weekend? When I am required to turn something over to the other side on a case I never do it until the last minute. I have finished things two weeks early, scanned them and set the fax machine to send them at the last minute. Why? Because what strategic advantage do I have sending it early? I think a deal will get done and we will see hockey. I just don't think it will be done before the last possible minute, which is still nearly a week away. I hope I'm wrong, but that's my guess.
I need to step away from the keyboard.
I have a bottle of champagne, which I will drink out of a Kings beer mug, ready to pop whenever it's official.
That being said, until both sides say the CBA is officially in place, I'm not even getting my hopes up. Let's just hope that bottle doesn't have to wait as long as Pete Demer's Budweiser.
But you wouldn't be an LGKer if you did that Bogey. :) But,ditto to what you just posted since there is supposively life after LGK.

Sources on both sides see Monday as likely date when all is settled. But could be late Sunday, as well
